The French pianist, Frederic Rozanes, won his first prize for pianoforte in the Concours Centralise des Conservatoires de Paris. While training to become a pianist, Frederic Rozanes was fortunate enough to study under teachers of various nationalities, including Selman Ada (Turkey), Pierre Audon (France), Elianne Richepin (France), Zu Xhong (China), Arcadi Volodos (Russia), and Michael Schafer (Germany). This helped him to acquire a comprehensive vision of the full range of approaches to piano playing, and to music generally, at an international level. He was thus able to draw on elements from all these schools in his own musical and pianistic development. Frederic Rozanes gives recitals and chamber music performances in various parts of Europe and also in Iran. In addition to his passion for chamber music, he takes an interest in other musical styles such as jazz and improvisation, thanks to which he has developed a keen feel for other forms of harmony. The critics have often paid tribute to his talents as a pianist : Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace : "a great moment in piano performance, his keyboard virtuosity completely won the audience over. With his mature and sensitive interpretations, the piano virtuoso Frederic Rozanes brought to bear all his talent as an acknowledged concert pianist". Journal Spectacles à Strasbourg : "Frederic Rozanes vigorous style is well matched to the technical difficulties and the most energic elements of his recital. His concern with the nuances was noneless apparent when the score required it, thus affording us many moments of high emotion. In any event, the final result confirms that a new talent has made its appearance". He also devotes a lot of time to teaching and composing, he did work for a Musical in London. |
